Draft: Theoretically Ember with Battlefury can work really well against PL because he can easily clear the illusions with Sleight of Fist. Moreover, the Radiant team consists of squishy heroes that have to stay at safe distance to spam their spells (Lion, WR, KoTL and even Lina). Ember is great at closing the gap and he has the needed burst damage even to solo kill them.

Item Build: Rushing Travels helps him move very efficiently around the map and participate in fights while flash-farming. Then he makes Battle Fury, and not just one, but three of them. He does this because he wants to hard-counter the enemy PL - the biggest threat on the enemy team. 

Early Game: His lane against KoTL and WR goes well thanks to the rotations of his supports - with Bara and Disruptor it is easy to initiate on the long-range enemies and Ember can provide the damage to secure kills. As a result, they take a lot of kills and after level 6 the lane becomes even easier because he can threaten solo kills. 

Mid & Late Game: The only reliable and dangerous catch on the enemy team is Lion's Hex. This allows Abed to do whatever he wishes on the map - he can aggressively split-push, out-farm them and even play aggressively in fights. If he always has a defensive Remnant prepared, it will be very hard for the enemy team to catch him. This is also a major reason why he's able to go for a very offensive build.
